Miss Major Softball - 12U

Any girl who has or will reach the age of 11 or 12 years old on August 31st shall be eligible to play in the Miss Major division. A player review and draft process may be held to form teams or equalize skills across teams. The Majors level is both competitive and instructional with admittedly more emphasis on the competitive aspects of the game than at the Minors level. Coaches focus on fielding a competitive team while also providing the players with a fun learning experience. All players are ensured playing time. Players should focus on refining their softball skills with a strong emphasis on speed and consistency. Games are umpired by an A.S.A. umpire or on occasion by a Hoosic Valley Central School Varsity player. At this level, the difference between an average player and a good player is the ability to consistently execute the required skills quickly.
